Hi Cyazon, how’s it going?

Hello, doing well thank you!

You’ve released several tracks during the first half of this year, can you share with us what the reception has been like for these new releases? Have you had any feedback from your fans?

I think people/fans liked my ‘Interlinked EP’, and I received some good comments on that. ‘Nexus’, a self-release I did in April is at around 30,000 streams, so I think people like it as well.

Which release has been your favourite during 2024 so far?

So far, I enjoyed putting out ‘Nexus’ as it is a newer version of a track I started in 2021.

Can you share with us what you’re currently working on?

I have 8 songs already finished, with vocalists featured on these songs. They are currently being pitched to labels. I’m also working on 3 newer songs with other artists and vocalists as well. Lastly, I’m doing a few remixes too.

Have you added any new equipment to your studio set-up that you’ve been working with when producing your current projects?

I haven’t added any new equipment yet. I’m planning on getting some studio monitors at some point since it has been a while since I have had monitors. It will help with not producing on headphones all the time. I may get a new synthesizer called an Arturia Polybrute Noir at some point too.

How would you say your sound is evolving and developing with your new releases?

A lot of the releases that I just put out this year are older music, so it is not really reflective of my current sound. My unreleased music I would say has evolved a lot into this analog, cinematic, futuristic sound, such as Nero’s music.

Are there any new techniques that you have been experimenting with?

There are not really any new techniques I have been experimenting with. I have been making more of an effort to learn how to make Drum & Bass better. I’m also experimenting with different ways I can make my own ambient atmosphere sounds too.

How would you say that your current projects respond to the changing landscape of Electronic Music? Have you started exploring new trends?

I think my recent EP, ‘Interlinked’, combines elements of Synthwave and Dubstep, which I think is not really done a lot within the Melodic Dubstep genre. Even though these were older songs I released, I still think they responded well in today’s climate. The same could be said about Nexus as well. I have recently started producing more Drum & Bass since around the fall of last year, which is trending more.

You’ve previously collaborated with other gifted Artists on the scene, like Becko and Elle Vee, can fans expect any more collaborations soon?

Yes, my upcoming releases all have vocalists featured on them who I have collaborated with. I’m looking forward to sharing these songs once my team and I find the right place for them as it’s an evolved direction with my sound.

What are you most excited about with your current projects and those you have coming up?

I think once these unreleased songs get on a label or other labels, it will be exciting to put out the songs. Some of the songs may have a music video to go along with them as well so that will be fun to do as well. I’m also looking forward to developing the songs I’m currently working on with my collaborators.

We conclude our interview with Cyazon by thanking him for sharing a look into where he hopes his creative path leads him next and the upcoming projects he plans to release soon.
