Hi Lorna, how’s it going?
Hi, great to be here – I’m good thanks!
What do you enjoy doing to relax?
I tend to ad lib on my piano, that relaxes me. It’s amazing what a few dramatic arpeggios can do to reduce stress levels.
Do you have any fun hobbies?
I don’t really spend much time on hobbies per se, but I do quite a lot of campaigning for social justice issues that I’m passionate about.
Do you have any pets?
My blue Great Dane, Zulu. He’s a really nice person.
What’s your favourite film? And can you tell us why you like it?
Cloud Atlas, because it was like nothing I’d ever seen before or since and it blew me away (all three hours of it.)
Can you describe your perfect meal?
Sushi and wine.
Do you enjoy traveling? What are some of your favourite destinations?
I have been to many but there are lots of places I still want to travel to, but I am also mindful of the impact that global travel has on my carbon footprint. I would say my favourite places in the world are Egypt, London, New York and the rural English countryside.
If you had 1 million dollars, what would you spend it on?
Who’s to say I don’t? Haha. But honestly, if I had a million dollars to spare, I would build a massive home studio.
If you had to pick 3 people to bring to a deserted island, who would that be?
Ooh, that’s a tough one. I honestly think I’d prefer to be alone as I love my own company.
Can you tell us a fact about yourself that might surprise fans?
I spend a lot of my life in prison (as well as being a musician, I’m also a human rights lawyer).
